Interim report Power issues and outage at George Street DC

This is an interim report some information may change as more facts come to hand.

at approximately 11:30 Power was lost to 350 George Street DC due to flooding in the Ausgird Sub Station on Marin Place. The two UPS at 350 George Street took over and worked as normal and there was no interruption to service.

At approximately 12:30 a secondary UPS that supplies some legacy infrastructure exhausted its batteries and shut down. The load was transferred automatically by an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) to the Primary UPS. No systems were affected by this and there was no outage.

Generator arrived on site at approximately 1:30pm and was connected supplying load to 350 George Street Primary UPS. No outages were recorded at this time.

At approximately 7.30pm the ATS supplying power to some legacy systems failed and those systems went dark with no primary or secondary power feed.

At approximately 8pm Engineers re-routed power around the damaged ATS directly to the primary UPS and restored the affected legacy systems. However, some vlan's on the legacy path between The George Street DC and GSU could not pass traffic.

After fault finding and insuring no other outages would be caused at 11:52 pm the laser reset on the legacy path between George Street and GSU restoring systems.

As of 10am on the 18th Primary power has not been restored to the George Street DC and we are running on UPS/GEnerator
