Hazard - Sydney Data Center - 1 May 2016

There will be a power shutdown by Ausgird to the Sydney Data center on Sunday the 1St of May 2016 to repair the building lead in cable to 350 George St Sydney. As a result the Spectrum Sydney Data Center will be running on backup Generator for the duration of the outage which is expected to take most of the day.

In preparation for the outage our normal UPS preventative maintenance has been brought forward to before the outage so we can insure our backup power systems are in good shape. We will also be testing the backup generator on Saturday the 30th of April insure there are no problems prior to the outage.

As both UPS and Generator backup systems are in place. This is a Hazard only and we do not expect any service interruption.
